I’ve earned my living as a graphic designer for many years and started painting in watercolor in 2002 in my spare time. I hadn’t painted anything in acrylics since I was in art school over thirty years ago but decided to give it a try again as I’ve always loved their versatility and vibrancy. Fresh Palette was one of the first pieces I did in acrylic. I photographed this bouquet of flowers on our patio table in the bright sunshine because I wanted to depict its beautiful colors and the contrast of its strong sunlight and shadows.
